Rusty Lynn Harris, 44, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his home.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Rusty attended Tiftonia Baptist Church. He was a member of Carpenters Local 74 for 26 years, working with Raines Brothers Construction Company and with Bellefonte Nuclear Plant.

Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Eugene Harris and grandparents, George and Carrie Harris and John Graham.

Survivors include his daughter, Maegan Harris of Chattanooga; mother, Louella Harris Hood of Chattanooga; sisters, Shelly (Mike) Churchwell of Ringgold, and Carla (Joseph) Butler of Chattanooga; grandmother, Mary Lou Graham niece, Molly Jean Churchwell and nephew, Jordan Butler.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 5, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Milford White and Reverend Mark Brandon officiating.

Interment will follow in Boydston Cemetery with Sharpie Adams, Rodney Morgan, Scott Drew, Jamie Casseday, Darrell Smith and Greg Evans serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation will be on Friday, May 4, from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 5, from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Eileen L. Trippler, 95, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
