Ladies Tea At First Baptist Church

A ladies' Tea will be held on Saturday, at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave. Janice Carter, Work Force Development Specialist, will be the speaker. A $5 donation is requested for The Next Door Chattanooga, a local ministry dedicated to helping women in crisis.

A graduate recognition for all schools will be Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service.  Dr. Thomas Quisenberry will speak on "Who Will Answer the Questions?" with text from Acts 8:26-40. Sunday school is at 9:30 and fellowship time at 10:40. At 6 p.m. there will be a Youth Choir Concert in the chapel.

On Saturday, May 12. from 12-2 p.m. in the fellowship hall, there will be a reception for Jeff and Rebecca Mathis. Earlier in the day, Mrs. Mathis will be ordained to the gospel ministry and the couple have moved to North Carolina where he has been called as pastor.
