Suzanne Smitherman, an elected deputy to this summer's Geneeral Convention of the Episcopal Church, will lead a discussion at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 805 West 7th St., on Sunday, on expectations of the Convention and some resolutions that are likely to come before the church's official governing body. Other Christian Education classes will be Families and Faith in the Ava Wright Room with comments on parenting by Donald and Sarah Fishborne, and Baby Greek for Adults in the Miller Conference Room, led by Bob Leopold. All classes begin at 9:15 a.m. At the same time, there will be a Children's Communion Class in the Children's Education Wing.
A parking purchase picnic will be held following the 10:30 a.m. service at the parking lot adjacent to Key-Andrews Hall with burgers and hot dogs and all the fixings, music, a silent auction and more. The church expects to close on its purchase of the lot May 18.
