Clint Smith, professor of music and jazz at UTC, and Nandini Makrandi, curator of contemporary art at the Hunter Museum, will explore the exhibition, Sound and Vision: Monumental Rock and Roll Photography using image and music samples at Hunter Happens Thursday.
Sound and Vision presents 40 large-scale prints of many of the most notable musicians, songwriters and performers of the last half of the 20th century taken by 20 photographers. The exhibit examines the dynamic connection between the power of music and photography.
Hunter Happens begins at 6 p.m. on the Hunter Museum.
The Sound and Vision exhibition was organized by The Columbus Museum, Ga., and guest curator Christopher Murray of Govinda Gallery in Washington, D.C.
