#1 The Future is Ours
Come out June 2 at noon for Food, Fun, Entertainment, and more at Carver Community Center, 600 North Orchard Knob. It's a block party as we take back our neighborhoods. Meet those behind the City's Gang Task Force. Your chance to ask questions.

#2 You Pick the Public Art
Join us Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. in front of Walgreens on the North Shore. We have narrowed down three large sculptures to be placed on the corner of Frazier and Woodland. You make the vote...and if you do, there are discounts at area merchants.  

#3 Swim Lessons
Summer is here. Let's learn to swim. For $34, you get 8 1/2 hour lessons...and you learn outside at Warner Park Pool. Register now through June 1. Dates and time for ages 4 all the way to adults. Call 697-1385 for more.

#4 Need a Job?
TN's Mobile Career Coach is coming to Westside Center, May 31 from noon-4 p.m. Do a search, learn job skills, resume building and more. All in a mobile RV.

#6 National Trails Day at the Greenway 
The Soddy-Daisy Chapter of the Tennessee Trails Association and the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy invite hiking and nature enthusiasts to participate in a National Trails Day event to be held at the Greenway Farm at 5051 Gann Store Road on Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., celebrating the natural beauty of the trails in the Chattanooga area.. National Trails Day is sponsored across the United States by the American Hiking Society.

#7 Doubles Badminton Tournament

 #9 Tennis Leagues at the Champions Club
League dates: Monday, June 11, till Thursday, Aug. 23 (includes playoffs).The leagues consist of 6 (or more) weeks of round-robin play, then the top four players/doubles teams in each division will qualify for season-ending playoffs. Call Eddie Baker at 870-3112.

Arts & Culture Alliance Presents Selections From AVA’s Juried Members Exhibition

Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans

The head of BB&T's Chattanooga commercial banking operations has been charged by federal authorities with making fraudulent loans. Tracy Brown is set to plead guilty to bank fraud on June 4.
