Pam Betz
Pam Betz

Pam Betz, of Hixson, died on Friday, May 25, 2012, surrounded by her family, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her husband, John (Hixson), son, Alexander, Hixson, son, Brandon, and grandson, Caden, of Florida, sister, Stephanie Moeller of New York.

Pam was born and raised in New York and New Jersey. She moved to Southern California in her 20s, and made a home with her husband and children for many years.

Pam worked as an X-ray technician and for an orthopedic surgeon. When Pam moved to Hixson 20 years ago, she pursued her true passion of working with animals. She eventually opened her own grooming shop, Bowser's Bath House in Hixson. For many years she lovingly cared for other’s pets along with her own.

She was a youthful 63 years old with a wonderful heart and giving personality. She showed unconditional love and friendship to those who had the pleasure of being a part of her life.

Pam's family would like to extend their gratitude to the many calls of well wishes and support from her customers and friends. We also are thankful to her oncologists, hospital staff and Chattanooga Hospice for her medical care and more importantly the empathy expressed to her during her difficult illness. Pam, we miss you and will love you always.

Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
