Carmon Clifton Beecham, 94, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at his residence.
He was retired from Combustion Engineering with many years of service as a design draftsman.
He was a member of East Ridge Presbyterian Church, and formerly a member of Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for 30 years and chairman of missions.
He was a veteran of WWII and after receiving his honorable discharge, he worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for several years. After his retirement, he was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital and he was also a member of Gideons International (East Camp).
Surviving relatives are his wife of 59 1/2 years, Inez H. Beecham, son, Joel Beecham of Knoxville, daughter, Angela Williams of Roanoak, Va.; grandchildren, Jessica Williams, Elizabeth Williams, Leslie Beecham, Eric Beecham, and two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend J.R. Caines officiating. The interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
