Margaret L. Morgan, 88, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died on May 3, 2012 at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren who lovingly call her Mom or Grandma. 

Margaret was a lifelong member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She and Albert loved travelling after he retired.

Margaret was a lifelong resident of Hamilton and Rhea Counties. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Siblings, Roy Newman of Michigan, Ernest Newman of Harriman, Archie Newman and Robbie Harris of Dayton and Elizabeth Sharp of Soddy Daisy preceded her.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, George Albert Morgan. Her legacy will be her children and grandchildren. Surviving her are sons, Benny (Cheryl), Dennis (Dorothy), Johnny (Angie), Cecil (Judy), George (Lynne) and Mitchell Morgan all of Soddy Daisy. In addition, she has 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and two other great-great-grandchildren who predeceased her.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Lasley officiating. Burial will follow in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton, Tn. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday.
