St. Jude Dream Home House Opens To Public May 12

The St. Jude Dream Home house, at 8151 Propeller Drive in Georgetown Bay, will open for public viewing on May 12. The house will be open from noon to 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday until the giveaway on June 24. Visitors to the house can register free for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree at Ashley Furniture HomeStore. A limited number of $100 tickets for a chance to win the home will also be available during the open houses.  

The house, constructed by Pratt Homebuilders, is valued at approximately $300,000 and features three bedrooms, two and one half baths, 2,723 square feet, whirl pool tub in master bath, stone hearth and fireplace in Great Room, hardwood floors throughout main level, bonus room and granite countertops, and many more luxurious amenities. It will be given away on WRCB Channel 3 on June 24 at noon.  Other prizes include a home entertainment package, courtesy of Pediatric Dentistry of Ooltewah, LLC, $1,000 gift certificate at Gordon’s Cleaners and Launderers, and salon products and spa services, courtesy of A Better You Day Spa.  One in 500 entrants will win a prize.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talledega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
