Vest Wins Brainerd Invitational In Playoff

Hunter Vest won the annual Brainerd Invitational on Sunday in a playoff at the Brainerd Golf Course.

Vest made a par putt on the second green after Caleb Roberson and Neil Spitalny had missed their par putts.

A sophomore at Lee University, Vest earned his first area amateur tournament championship.

Vest, Roberson and Spitalny eached finished at 8-under 136. Roberson is Vest's roomate at Lee.

Former Lee golfer Brandon Cissom and Brainerd Golf Course employee Mike Dunn tied for fourth at 137.
