Leon “Buster” Wesley Brown, 81, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, he was a former employee of Mueller Company where he retired after 30 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Buster enjoyed horses, dogs and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “C.B.” and Hattie Norton Brown, two sisters, Virgie Simpson (Earl) and Effie May Whitlow (Frank), five brothers, Ernest “Dutch” Brown (Bertha), Grady “Jerry” Brown (Agnes), Leonard Brown (Mage), Roy Eugene Brown and Carl Lee Brown and great-grandson, Miles E. Berube.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Emma Lou Silvey Black Brown of Ringgold, three children, Judy Petty (Gary), Rick Brown and Vickie Wilson all of Chattanooga, beloved stepson, Charles Black of Dalton, sister, Katherine Plemons of Ringgold, four grandchildren, Ryan Berube (Sissy), Justin Berube, Wesley Brown (Amy) and Amy Dockery (Rusty), seven great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 8, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday until funeral time at the funeral home.
