Chattanooga State scored three in the first, one in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth.
In earlier softball action, Cleveland State lost to Columbia State 5-0.
Casey Christen had the only hit for Cleveland State in the seven-inning game.
Cleveland State will face Jackson State in the losers bracket Monday at 6 p.m.
Chattanooga State will be back in action Tuesday morning when they face Columbia at 10 a.m.
