Katherine Tyler Templeton, 37, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Katie was born Dec. 8, 1974.  She graduated from Girls’ Preparatory School and attended The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  She was a member of the Chattanooga Junior League. 

Katie will be remembered for her love of laughter and her ability to make people smile.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Franklin Templeton, Jr. and Tyler Stewart Wilson, Jr. and Homer Parks.

Katie is survived by her parents, Nancy Wilson Templeton and Ira “Buddy” Franklin Templeton, III and his wife Kim; Maternal Grandmother Sue Gray Parks, her sisters Emily (Shan), Webb and Maggie (Patrick) Shutters, nephews, Jackson Lynch Shutters and Samuel Templeton Shutters, special friend, Andrew Roberts, Family C.A. and Vivian Parks, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel with Reverend Samuel H. Payne officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 8, from 5-8 p.m. at the North Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McKamey Animal Center, 4500 North Access Road, Chattanooga,  Tn. 37415, or the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Lewie Card, Frank Gibson, Patrick Shutters, Charles Terrell, Shan Webb, and Avery West.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
