Dorothy McAllister Davidson, 81, of East Ridge, died peacefully at a nursing home on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga and East Ridge, she was retired from managing her rental business.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edding Davidson; mother, Thelma McAllister; father, John McAllister; sisters, Margaret Renner, Edna McGraw, and Mary Rodgers; brothers, Tate McAllister and Sam McAllister.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice Davidson Marto and her husband Robert Marto of Atlanta; son, Donald Davidson and his wife, Maryann; and grandchildren, Caitlin and Connor Davidson of the Chattanooga area; sister, Virginia Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at the funeral home.
