After the sudden death of Judge Bob Moon, Judge David Norton was appointed to fill Judge Moon's seat until the next election. With the election fast approaching, I feel it is important to point out the commitment Judge Norton has given as a General Sessions Court judge.
Judge Norton has made some major alterations in his life to be able to serve. He had to resign his career position, since 1983, as assistant Hamilton County attorney in order to accept the appointment. He also had to resign as Soddy Daisy city judge, an office which the Soddy Daisy Citizens elected him for three consecutive terms. Both resignations were irreversible, yet he made them willingly in order to serve where needed.
Judge David Norton, a man of outstanding integrity, is committed to General Sessions Court and is already doing a sensational job. Please join me in confirming my friend as General Sessions judge and vote for him on Aug. 2.
