Hixson Beats East Ridge 1-0, East Hamilton Tops CSAS 3-1

The District 6A/AA final is set and will feature East Hamilton, the top seed facing off with Hixson. 

 Hixson defeated East Ridge on Tuesday at Camp Jordan 1-0.  Robert Bridges scored the second half goal for the Wildcats assisted by Austin DuPree. 

Second ranked East Hamilton beat CSAS 3-1 in their semifinal match on Tuesday.  The Hurricanes scores all three of their goals in the first half.

 Steven Sloan opened the scoring with an assist from Jose Orellana in the 7th minute.

Kyle Gallups scored the second goal with an assist from Jalen Goddard in the 20th minute.

Daniel Duk gave East Hamilton a 3-1 lead with a goal in the 36th minute assisted by Kyle Gallups.

"It was just one of those days you dread as a coach," East Hamilton's John Millard said. "Tons of chances but little finishing.  It is a credit to our guys to stay composed and keep creating dangerous chance after dangerous chance.  We got three and that is all we needed. I would like to see us be more organized on that set piece and stronger in the air."

East Hamilton out shot the Patriots 30-3. 

The district championship will take place at East Hamilton on Thursday with the time TBA.
