Genell D. Steakley, 91 of Pikeville, died on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Bledsoe County and a member of the Brockdell Church of God for over 60 years.
Preceding Genell in death were her husband, T. J. Steakley; parents, Isaac and Bertha Dodson; three brothers, James, Bobby and Benny Dodson; sister, Geneva Guy.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherylene (Wallace) Holland and Annette Swafford; three grandchildren, Lisa Ann (Joe) Johnson, Jeff (Michelle) Holland, and Tommy (Lisa) Holland; six great-grandchildren, Steven (Melinda) Holland, Brittany, Bret and Gabi Holland, Saylah and Thomas Johnson; one great-great-granddaughter, Macy Holland; sister, Margaret (Levi) Johnson; four sisters-in-law, Pauline, Pat and Nida Dodson of Pikeville and Esta Mae Daggett, Elyria, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, May 9, in the funeral home chapel with Brother David Rogers and Brother Donnie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Cagle Cemetery.
