Lee Business Students Compete For Presentation Award

Lee University business faculty and students met in Jones Lecture Hall to listen to three group presentations. These student groups were chosen from three classes:  Business Policy, Business Communications, and International Business to compete for the third Professional Presentation Award presented by the Department of Business.  This award carries with it a $500 cash award to the winning team.

Students in the winning team included Lanre Elujoba, Olumide Adedo, Funmilayo Ajibodu, and Adebola Falabi from the International Business class taught by Dr. Hermilo Jasso.  Their presentation was titled “Proposal to Start a New Business Venture—Lighthouse Technology Company.”

The judges for the competition were Mr. Bob Hardin, a member of the Business Advisory Council and former Vice President for Whirlpool; Dr. Michael Laney and Dr. Patty Silverman from the Department of Communications; and Josh Jolley, a business alumnus and employee in Lee’s Office of Business and Finance.  

Other student teams included Josh Marotti and Oksana Radionova from Dr. Dewayne Thompson’s  Business  Policy class and Jordan Larsen, Paul Krispin, Rodney Chatman, Hannah Corder, and Charity Bond from the Business Communications class taught by Dr. Evaline Echols.  

The department’s presentation award will be chosen once per year in the spring.

City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms
