Tony Cortez Williams has been charged in an incident in which police said he robbed an acquaintance at gunpoint and fired at an occupied vehicle as he fled the scene.
Williams, 21, of 3911 Dahlia St., is charged with aggravated robbery, reckless endangerment and vandalism.
Jesse Martin said he was at home on N. Orchard Knob Avenue when Williams came up to the front door. He said after he let him in that Williams took out a black handgun and demanded money and his cell phone. He said he gave him his cell phone and Williams left the house and began running north on N. Orchard Knob Avenue.
Police said while Williams was running away he turned around and fired several shots from his handgun toward a white Ford Explorer that was occupied by Paul Ricks.
One of the rounds struck the vehicle and burst the passenger side rear tire.
