Shannon Denise King, 41, died on Tuesday, May 8 at her home in Chickamauga, Georgia. 

A native of Chattanooga, Shannon was a paramedic and served with Hamilton County EMS for 15 years. She was of the Christian faith. Shannon loved her family, animals, art and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack and Grace Howard and paternal grandparents, John and Ola Mae King.

Shannon is survived by her mother, Sandy King; father, Sammy King; stepmother, Natalie King; sisters, Sara and Michelle King; partner, “Joey Bear” Kiker; nephew, John King and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and her dear brothers and sisters at Hamilton County EMS.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, May 12, from 10-11 a.m. at the North Chapel, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Chaplain Jake Carroll of HCEMS officiating; interment in Chattanooga Memorial Park.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center, 4500 North Access Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

Quinn, Earl Dewey

Earl Dewey Quinn, 74, of Apison, Tennessee, died on May 18, 2013 at his residence.  Earl was an employee at Collegedale Caseworks with 34 years of service, a lifelong resident of Apison, and an avid wrestling and Nascar fan. Hunt, Genella

Genella Hunt, 88, of Rossville, died on Friday, May 17, 2013 at a local health care facility.  Survivors include her husband, Donald C. Hunt, Jr.; four children; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be on June 1. Reynolds, David Eugene (Old Fort)

David Eugene Reynolds, 52, of Old Fort, TN, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital following a short but mighty battle against cancer and other complications. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
