Colin Patrick Kennedy, 36, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, May 7, 2012.  

He was born in Dublin, Ireland, and had lived in the Chattanooga area for the past 10 years.

Colin was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. 

Colin was an avid outdoorsman, he loved his boat, the lake, fishing, kayaking, and camping. In his early years he completed several Outward Bound Courses, one in Canada and one in Alaska. He also loved working in his yard and helping other people in his spare time.

He attended Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga., and attended college at North Georgia College. He attended St. Stephens Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Kennedy.

Survivors are his father, P.J. Kennedy, his mother, A.M. Kennedy, brother, Paul Kennedy, sister, Johanna (Sam) Talley, sister-in-law, Heather Kennedy and two nephews, Sean Talley and Brandon Kennedy.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at St. Stephens Catholic Church, where there will be a Mass held at 11 a.m. with Father Gilbert Diaz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti, 1918 Union Avenue, P.O. Box 3720, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404 or www.cnphaiti.org.

Eileen L. Trippler, 95, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.   There will not be any visitation prior to the burial.
