HairBenders Internationale Honors 2 Breast Cancer Survivors For Mother's Day

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

Two breast cancer survivors will be treated to " A Day at the Spa HBI" for Mother's Day 2012.

Mother's Day and the month of May is an important time for both Carol Ellis, 49, and Stacey Smith, 34, and their families. It marks milestones in their fight to beat breast cancer. For Ms. Ellis, this month marks her four-year anniversary  being cancer free. For Ms. Smith, it has been about a year since her double mastectomy to remove her cancer. Both have the love and support of families, both have stories of survival, and both will be treated to a day of rest and relaxation at Spa HBI to  honor them on this Friday before Mother's Day.

As part of HairBenders Internationale's grand reopening of their Spa HBI, the two women will be treated to "A Day at Spa HBI" including a manicure, pedicure, facial and massage.

Organizers said, "After all the emotional and physical pain these breast cancer survivors have been through with their surgeries and treatments, Spa HBI will give them VIP care and pamper them for hours to make them feel special."

HairBenders Internationale will officially celebrate Spa HBI's grand reopening on Friday, May 18, from 12-4 p.m. The public is welcome to visit the salon to receive free consultations, skin care analysis, and experience Spa HBI with mini  manicures and pedicures. Everyone who participates will be given a Spa HBI Customer Appreciation Card. A drawing for door prizes, gift bags valued at more than $100, will occur every hour on the hour.

Location Of The Delta Queen Is The Problem

The Delta Queen is a magnificent part of history and in many ways I'm pleased she is in town. Having the boat where she is is the problem. The crew take many of the parking spots around the park leaving families to park across Frazier and schlep their kids, strollers and picnics to the park. You don't get fireworks ... (click for more)
