Roy “David” Gary, Jr., 47, of Trion, Georgia, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Gary was born December 3, 1964 in Summerville, Ga., the son of Roy Gary and the late Azlee Christine Sims Gary. Mr. Gary was employed at Hayes State Prison. He loved golfing and playing the guitar.

Mr. Gary is survived by his wife, Tracy Gary; son, Zachary Gary; father and step-mother, Roy and Marie Gary; brothers, Jerry Gary and Marty Gary; grandchild, Addison Gary; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home. Reverend Ralph Sumner and Reverend Tony Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Sims, Dennis Elrod, Shawn Broome, Bob Wesson, Mike Stansell, and Marcey Yancey.

Mr. Gary will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11.
