John Lowry

John “Bob” Lowry, 80, of Signal Mountain, died on Thursday, May 31 at his home with his family.

John was a man of laughter and making everyone smile around him. He loved bluegrass music. John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  

John was preceded in death by his parents, Ludie and Letha Lowry     

Survivors are his wife, Ruby Lee Lowry; daughter, Andrea (Jeff) Wright; brother, Joe (Charlene) Lowry; grandsons, Steven and Kevin Wright; honorary grandson, Cyrus Lee; special niece, Portia Bennett; several niece and nephews; and special dog, Funny Face.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, from 4-8 p.m., and Monday, June 4, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

The funeral service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga and the Mountain Opry.
