A house on Dodds Avenue suffered substantial fire damage on Sunday afternoon.
Chattanooga firefighters responded to the shortly after 4 p.m. at 4217 Dodds. Battalion Chief Rodney Jones said neighbors noticed the fire first from the outside and alerted the residents inside the house. Chief Jones said all of the residents got out of the house safely.
The firefighters got the blaze under control quickly, but not before the structure suffered heavy damage.
Volunteers with American Red Cross have been called in to provide assistance to the victims.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
