Choo Choo Dog Camp, “The Ultimate Dog Day Care,” is now offering training, grooming and pet sitting. According to founder and owner Liz Fortanier, the new services are tailored to the client’s needs.

Choo Choo Dog Camp opened in January 2011 in the old fire station on the Southside at 25 W. 20th Street (corner of 20th and Market Street). Initial services included dog daycare and boarding.

The facility’s primary goal is to provide the best no-barking, stress-free and secure environment.

At Choo Choo Dog Camp, dogs run, play and socialize in 7,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor play areas.

Ms. Fortanier is a Pat Miller-certified level one trainer and a professional member of APDT. Her one-on-one positive reward-based training is combined with daycare and achieves excellent results.

“If you choose not to leave your children at home, why do that to your dog?” said Ms. Fortanier. “Dogs can’t wait to get here—they literally drag their owners inside. The dogs love the recycled tire floor mats for playing and running. The humans like the cleanness and the bright colors. It’s a wonderful experience for everyone!”
