Pauline W. Jarvis, 83, of Decatur, Tn., died Saturday, June 9 , 2012 at her daughter's residence. 

She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D. W. (Dart) Wilson and Millie (Miller) Wilson; husband, Sam Jarvis; sisters, Erna Wilson, Belle Brown, Sally Goforth, Ollie Howard, Sara Jane Porter and Willie Kennedy; and brothers, Buddy Wilson, Robert Wilson and Clyde Wilson. 

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Farrell and Jean Jarvis and Frank and Becky Jarvis, all of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Peter Martinez of Decatur; three sisters, Mary Layman, Bertha Haynes, both of Decatur and Artie Sue Sewell of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Jodie Jarvis, Samantha Ward, Stephany Stimmie, Jeannie and Vince Newman, Missy Coker and fiancee Jeff Botts; grandsons, Frankie and Cindy Jarvis, Jason Jarvis, Dean Jarvis andTanner Jarvis; great-grandchildren that were very special to her, Dustin Coker, Mason Coker, Brock Newman, McCall Newman, Chase Jarvis, Tripp Jarvis, Will Jarvis and Thomas Jarvis; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mary May Morrow. 

The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles (Dump) Armour officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 13. Pallbearers will be Dean Goforth, Robert Howard, Robert Wattenbarger, Bill Jarvis, Eddie O’Daniel and Van Godsey.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 12 at the Bowers Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.



Bidwell, Harrell B. (Ten Mile)

Harrell B. Bidwell, 67, of Ten Mile, TN, died on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
