Inez Morgan, 92, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Friday, June 8, 2012.  

She was a longtime resident of North Georgia. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and was the owner/operator of Morgan’s Beauty Shop for over 40 years before retiring.  

Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce C. Morgan and a son, Mike Morgan.

Survivors include her daughter, Billie Morgan Barry, Birmingham, Ala.; son, Darrell (Frankie) Morgan, Ringgold; three brothers, Don Brock, Harrison, Charles Brock, Ocala, Fla., and Tommy Brock, Dandridge, Tn.; six grandchildren, Stan Barry, Mark Barry, Chris Morgan, Sherri Kimes, Adam Morgan and Aaron Morgan; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 12, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Sampson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Stan Barry, Mark Barry, Chris Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Adam Morgan, John Barry, Bryant Barry and William Barry serving as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank Dr. John McCarley, Dr. David Wendt and their staff for several years of quality care and also to Hospice of Chattanooga and nurse, Dionne Wade-Evans, for their excellent care and kindness.

Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
