Tuesday, June 12, 2012 - by Special To The Chattanoogan.com

There were scattered showers around the Chattanooga area on Monday night, but that didn't keep several teams in the Chattanooga Area Swim League from holding their weekly dual meets.

The Signal Mountain Green Giants made a statement with a 453-279 victory over the Fairyland Flash in a battle of Blue division unbeatens.  Another key meet in the Blue division had host Dalton taking a 393-352 victory over Stuart Heights.

Cleveland took over first place in the Red division with a resounding 450-274 victory over Fort Oglethorpe.

Other meets had Country Club remaining unbeaten after two meets with a 399-340 win over previously-unbeaten Ridgeside in a key White division battle.

Ooltewah's meet with Mosby Park was suspended by lightning after event 31 with the host Tidal Waves holding a 179-152 lead at that point.  Cumberland's meet at Big Ridge was postponed to a later date.

Scandals At Home And Abroad

Since my hip operation and time in recovery, I have tried to set aside things that are insignificant to me and to average Americans. Don't get me wrong here. What these people are doing (Bengahzi) is despicable be they left or right wing, and they have been doing it (both sides) for a long time. But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: 50 Facts About Our Bodies
