Each year, Erlanger at Hutcheson partners with Cloud Springs Elementary to provide items for families with newborn infants.  The service project is headed by the school's 5th grade student Leadership Team, and all students are encouraged to donate baby wipes, diapers, books, and blankets.  The students assemble the bags for the hospital, which then distributes them to families as needed.

“Through the efforts of the students and teaching staff, many local families have access to newborn items when they leave our facility,” states Sharon Klein, Director of Women’s Services.  “This has been a true community partnership, and I want to thank them for their continued support of our patients.”

The teachers associated with the Leadership Team delivered over 50 bags to the Women’s Center of Erlanger at Hutcheson.  Roger Forgey, President and CEO, was on hand to thank the school for their willingness to partner with the hospital.

Who's Driving The Bessie Smith Strut Into The Ground?

As the annual Riverbend Festival has come to a close I seem to be at odds with one particular thing and no it has nothing to do with seeing CeeLo’s rear-end. That one thing is the Bessie Smith Strut and the lack of what it used to be. It is just my opinion but there seems to be a driving force of setting the event up for failure and for what?    The event survived a ... (click for more)
