This Summer students in Chattanooga State's Filmmaking class are producing a short feature film, about 60 minutes in length.
The class is a part of Professional Film and Television Training and the goal is to apply all of the skills acquired in other courses to the production of an actual film.
Additionally, students are learning to complete process of producing and independent film, from budgeting and breaking down a script, to fund-raising, then production tasks such as lighting and sound recording, then editing and distribution.
Their Kickstarter project is an attempt to follow what is becoming the industry standard method of "crowd-funding" for independent projects.
