Spin Concepts Marketing, LLC, a Catoosa County-based marketing services and web development firm, announced Wednesday, that it has been chosen to manage the Backwoods Life brand, an international cable television show appearing on the Sportsman Channel and Wild TV networks in the United States and Canada. The show appears on multiple satellite and cable systems, including Dish Network and DirecTV, with an estimated total potential viewing audience of over 31 million.

Backwoods Life is a weekly outdoors hunting show based near Valdosta, Ga., that airs 13 episodes beginning in late summer and continuing through fall and winter. The award-winning show features three down-to-earth guys – Michael Lee, Kevin Knighton, and Woody Sullivan – in pursuit of large game throughout North America.  "We're excited to be working with Spin Concepts to expand our brand's value and reach," said Mr. Lee.  "We think they offer the right mix of talent and experience to help us build on the success we've enjoyed with our show so far."

Daren Headrick, a Ringgold native, is the president and founder of Spin Concepts.  "The signing of Backwoods Life TV to our client roster is a huge step for us toward our long-range goals," he said. "We're quite enthusiastic to be joining the outdoor industry and also continuing our path of growth and presence in the entertainment industry at large."

Mr. Headrick served in both corporate marketing leadership and client-side agency roles prior to starting Spin Concepts in 2003.  That same past experience includes the NASCAR industry, where Headrick worked with a number of blue chip brands.  Some of those brands included Jeff Gordon, the Petty Family, Christian Fittipaldi and the popular broadcaster and former Champion driver Darrell Waltrip.

Mr. Headrick is also no stranger to the entertainment business.  Some of Spin's past work includes brand management, public relations and marketing in the international music industry with a number of famous artists and concert events.

However, Spin Concepts is not just a marketing firm that focuses on sports and entertainment.  Many of the group's clients are local or regional corporate businesses, but have been located as far away as New York.  Some of Spin's local clients include names like Junior's Building Materials and First Volunteer Bank, where Spin Concepts serves in various marketing or Web-related roles.

Backwoods Life is poised to start its eighth season on national TV airing on Sunday, July 1, at 6 p.m. on the Sportsman Channel in the U.S.  Those interested can find more information about the popular TV show at its website at backwoodslife.com or on various social media channels such as Facebook.

Spin Concepts can be reached through its corporate Website at spinconcepts.com for more information and also has a presence on Facebook.

Scandals At Home And Abroad

Since my hip operation and time in recovery, I have tried to set aside things that are insignificant to me and to average Americans. Don't get me wrong here. What these people are doing (Bengahzi) is despicable be they left or right wing, and they have been doing it (both sides) for a long time. But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)

Maybe 20 years ago I became entranced by a book called “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” It was co-authored by a surgeon, Paul Brand, and a Christian writer, Phillip Yancey, and gave one specific after another about the human body and how only God could have created such a miraculous machine. Today the book is a classic and I have marveled ever since over how unbelievable human ... (click for more)
