Insolvency Associate Theresa Critchfield Joins Husch Blackwell

Husch Blackwell welcomes Theresa L. Critchfield to the firm’s Chattanooga office as an associate, where she will focus her practice in the area of Insolvency.

Ms. Critchfield previously practiced insolvency, general contract and commercial litigation law at a Chattanooga-based firm. Her clientele included regional and national creditors, banks and student loan guaranty agencies, general contractors and construction companies. In addition, she has engaged in a wide variety of insolvency matters, including multi-million-dollar Chapter 11 reorganizations and the successful retention of substantial creditor assets.

Ms. Critchfield received her J.D. from Mercer University School of Law (2005) in Macon, Ga., as a Jesse Mercer Scholar, where she graduated Order of the Barristers and was awarded the James C. Estes Moot Court Award. She received her B.B.A., cum laude, from Mercer University (2002).

Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital by LifeForce helicopter about 3:15 a.m. The driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS. It is believed he had non-life threatening injuries. ... City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
