The Red Bank Lions presented a check for $10,000 to Red Bank High School, toward its fundraising campaign of $150,000 for school improvements.
In a letter to area businesses, school officials said, "From July 21-28, parents, teachers, students, alumni, residents, businesses, civic groups and churches will come together to paint, clean, organize, and transform approximately 50 classrooms into an engaging place to learn. Our goal for this campaign is $150,000."
Funding would allow the school to purchase desks, white boards, promethean boards, and other classroom materials, in addition to painting the building and landscaping.
