A man was arrested on Monday after police said he was in a fight at an events hall at 1622 Dodds Ave., then he returned with a gun and an aluminum bat.

Deron Lamont Carter, 28, was charged with aggravated burglary.

Maxine Noble said Carter pulled a gun on her and tried to hit her with the bat.

Kenneth Johnson said he and Carter had a fight when Carter tried to remove some of his DJ equipment.

Hubert Moss, the owner of the establishment, said he told Carter to leave after the fight. He said Carter told him he had a gun, then he retreated to his vehicle. He said Carter returned with the gun and a silver aluminum bat.

The owner said he shut and locked the front door.

He said Carter smashed out the front door and jumped through the door, holding the gun and bat.

Those inside were able to get the bat away from Carter, and he ran outside. He was across the street when police arrived.

Police retrieved a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic 9mm pistol and a silver bat from Carter's vehicle.

Carter had multiple cuts and abrasions to his face as well as blood on his face from the busted-out glass.

Carter told police he is a member of the Sin City Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. He had a black leather motorcycle jacket in his vehicle with a Sin City patch on the back.

Carter, who is from Ohio, told police he has a valid handgun permit there.
