Korean War Veteran Was Truck Driver For Many Years

Clarence Mickel, 79, of East Ridge,Tennessee, died on June 16, 2012 at a local hospital.  

He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.  Clarence was a truck driver for many years.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Mickel, brothers, Kenneth and Clyde Mickel.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Dorcas R. Mickel, sons, Gregory T. Mickel, Randall J. Mickel, stepson, Jerry (June) Sharpe, stepdaughter, Linda Slaughter, brothers, Bobby(Janice) Mickel, Jim (Sandra) Mickel, Ricky (Vonnie) Mickel, Sam (Virginia) Mickel, Felix (Mickie) Mickel, Gene (Carol) Mickel, Marvin (Lois) Mickel, sisters, Georgia Locke, Myrtice Mickel, Melrose Mickel, Lois (Jeff) Coppinger, Willie Mae Swafford; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Reverend J.D. Gibson officiating.
