Lola Coley Austin, 90, of South Pittsburgh, Tn., died on June 14, 2012 at The Bridge of South Pittsburgh.
She was born on May 11, 1922 in Bridgeport, Ala. and moved to South Pittsburgh in 1950. She worked at South Pittsburgh Knitting Mills and then for Jenkins and Darwin’s Department Store. She attended Bridgeport Church of God and then South Pittsburgh Church of God until she was confined at The Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Coley; her husband, Jesse Austin; her sister, Hazel Turner; and step-son, Bobby Austin.
She is survived by step-son, William Ray Austin, South Pittsburgh; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 18 from 1-3 p.m. CST at the Tate Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 3 p.m. CST with Reverend Ronnie Case officiating. Burial will follow at Sequatchie Memorial Gardens.
