Riverbend Needs Better Seating

Monday, June 18, 2012

I think Riverbend 2012 was a great success and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  But, I do have one huge complaint.  Trying to find a seat (or a place to put your chair) is practically impossible.

By the time I leave work and pick up family and friends it is 6 to 6:30 p.m. before I can arrive at the festival site.  Low and behold, the place is already packed and near impossible to find a place for four chairs.

Why are people allowed to put down a 12 x 12 tarp and place a chair on each corner (total of four) or you have someone put down a blanket (queen size) put a chair on it and disappear.  I try to respect other peoples property so there is all this space taken up and I can't find a place to put four chairs.

I had my elderly mother, cousin, and friend with me wondering around looking for a few feet of grass to put our chairs.  If you happen to step on the edge of one of the blankets or god forbid a tarp, you get cursed out while still looking for a place to put our chairs.  This happened four nights that I went to Riverbend.

Could the festival management make a better arrangement for people to sit during the shows at Riverbend?
