Mary Sue Hudson, 92, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2012.
She was born in Meigs County and was a graduate of Meigs County High School. She went on to graduate from Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing in 1941 and spent her life nursing and caring for others. Mary was a longtime resident of Red Bank and a devoted member of White Oak United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband for over 50 years, Victor, and her brother, Fate Wattenbarger.
Survivors include her son, Edward; grandson, Adam; granddaughter, Angela Williams; great-grandson, Elijah Turnage; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Williams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace with Reverend Laurens Hudson, Reverend Ogle Wattenbarger and Reverend Amy Whatley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Oak United Methodist Church.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, and 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
