Signal Mountain High School students donated $10,636.11 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation in honor of one of their own, a friend who is battling cancer.

Mitchell Hall, Alle Hunter and Brock Pressley are now considered young philanthropists after coordinating a special concert to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders while their friend is undergoing cancer treatment.  The idea for their senior project became a huge endeavor to plan and promote a concert featuring country star, Craig Morgan.  In the end, the event raised much more than their goal of $7,000.

The concert, which took place at Rhythm and Brews on April 26, raised more than $10,000 from sponsorships, and ticket and T-shirt sales.
