Throwing The Rocks

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

It seems our local paper is doing their best to trash some official and a candidate. First of all the CTFP makes no charges just standing in the shadows and throwing rocks, hoping to damage someone, makes no difference who. Apparently the paper doesn't have the backbone to make public charges against those they are trashing. Of course, they will tell you this type of damage to others is what our founding fathers intended. Any excuse will do. I don't have a deputy card but I am proud to be called friend by Jim and his wife even though I am not perfect as members of the CTFP.

Now to the issue of Mayfield milk and contracts. If the Times reporter had checked past stories they would have found this one. Several years ago Mayfield lost the school contract to furnish milk for the students. After a couple of weeks the winning bidder gave up the contract. Their milk was top quality, tasted the same but the students wouldn't drink milk that wasn't in a yellow carton. This really wasn't Mayfield's fault but if blame was to be placed it would be at Luther's door. You see on his radio program he advertised Mayfield's milk in the yellow containers. Here in Chattanooga people know if Luther says it is the best you can put it in the bank. We trust him in all things as he has proven over many, many years that he has always wanted the best for the community. Too bad our paper doesn't have this reputation instead of trashing people and their friends.
