Abba's House Adds Thursday Night Spanish Services

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Pastor Ron Phillips welcomes Pastor Andrés Miranda and the ministry of  “Luz para las Naciones” to Abba’s House, 5208 Hixson Pike in Hixson.  Beginning June 28, the all Spanish services will be held Thursday nights from 7-8:30 in the Faith Building at Abba’s House.

“This is a wonderful expansion of the Hispanic ministry we launched last year at Abba’s House,” said Pastor Phillips.

“We are already providing real time translation of our services at 10:30 on Sunday mornings into Spanish through a headset system. We also offer ESL classes and a class for people who want to learn to speak Spanish.”

Pastor Miranda established his ministry to the Spanish speaking community in the Chattanooga area in 2008 and has recently grown to include locations in the Cleveland, East Lake, and Ooltewah areas.  “Moving to the Hixson area and onto the Abba’s House campus is a true answer to prayer!” said Pastor Andrés.  Pastor Andrés Miranda’s vision is to establish a contemporary Hispanic church with a strong emphasis on personal relationships, live worship, practical teaching of the Bible and multi-cultural evangelism.

After breaking some bones in my arm as I slept last week and having no idea there were already some other fractures, it looked pretty certain I had a case of “The Big C.” I’ve always felt that stands for “courage” but the medical ...
