Chapman, George Mack (Decatur)

George Mack Chapman, 78, of Decatur, Tn., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012. 

He was born Dec. 1, 1934 to the late Harry and Lena Monroe Chapman. Mack was involved throughout his lifetime in bringing others to Christ. Even though he was employed by Southern Railway for 35 years his purpose was to serve the Lord. 

Mack is survived by his wife, Nancy Lynn Proffitt Chapman; children, Harry Michael Chapman and Vickie Chapman Rodgers; grandchildren, Kimberly, Matthew and Brad Rodgers of Charlotte, N.C.; and three sisters, Harrietta Roberts, Sara Kay Perkinson and Vivian Chapman. 

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 22 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Pastor Wayne Coulter officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at the Bowers Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
