Two new ministers, the Rev. Rowland Buck and the Rev. Amy Nutt, have been appointed at Burks United Methodist Church on Hixson Pike to replace the Rev. Nathan Malone and Leon Fraley. Rev. Malone will be the new Knoxville District Superintendent and Mr. Fraley retired.
Rev.
Buck formerly served in the Chattanooga District at Christ United Methodist Church as an associate minister for five years and has been pastor of Kodak United Methodist in the Knoxville District for the past seven years.
Rev. Nutt has been an associate minister at Ooltewah United Methodist Church for the past 10 years.
Rev. Buck will speak at the 8 a.m. traditional and 11 a.m. contemporary services this Sunday on "God Knows What He Is Doing Even If We Don't." with text from Romans 1:8-17.
A reception to welcome the new ministers will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the church narthex.
