Morris Simpson, 70, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, June 21, 2012.  

He was chief of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue Squad and served as an instructor for the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads.  

Survivors include his wife, Nicki; brother, Don Simpson, Colquit, Ga.; three sisters, Priscilla Borin, Chattanooga, Jackie Nicholson, Marietta, Ga., and Lyn Simpson, Quitman, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, in the funeral home chapel with Lucas Shearer officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
