Meet And Greet To Be Held With Gary Starnes On Tuesday

A campaign meet and greet will be held for Gary Starnes, candidate for Sessions Court Judge Division 5, on Tuesday, June 26, from 5-7 p.m. at the North Chatt Cat on Frazier Avenue at the intersection of Tremont Street, by Coolidge Park. 

The event will be hosted by Team Starnes, a group of volunteers and supporters. The event will feature live local music from a grassroots contemporary local band, called “The Locals.”  

The public is invited and encouraged to drop in and meet Mr. Starnes anytime between 5 and 7 p.m.  This will be a fun event.

Attorney Gary Starnes is formally endorsed, as the best choice, for Sessions Court Judge by the International Brotherhood of Police Officers and the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association. Mr. Starnes was recently voted as the favorite Sessions Court Judicial candidate by Chattanoogan.com readers’ poll.

Mr. Starnes obtained his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 1986, and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Georgia. He was formerly with the law firm of Spears, Moore, Rebman, & Williams for six years. In August, 1993, Mr. Starnes started his law firm in Chattanooga, and handles complex civil cases in all state and federal courts in Tennessee and Georgia.

Mr. Starnes frequently serves as a special judge in the Chattanooga City Courts for Judge Russell Bean and Judge Sherry Paty. Attorney Starnes has served as special judge in the Hamilton County General Sessions Court, the elected office he now seeks.

Free Meter Parking Offered On Memorial Day

Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
