Ella Jeanette McDonald, 82, of Cleveland, Tn., died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the family residence.

Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of the late Letha Gibson Thurman and James Frances Thurman; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Neal McDonald; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. McDonald received the Blythe Neighborhood Safe Haven award for her yard and received the Good Seed Award. She was a member of the Evening Light Gospel Tabernacle.

Survivors include her son, Mike McDonald and his wife Billie of Cleveland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Beatrice Spicer of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, June 23 at 1 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Bill Beaty officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery. 

The family requests that Memorials be made to the Evening Light Gospel Tabernacle. 

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, June 22 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.

Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans
