Jack Lewis Jay, 76, of Kingsport, Tennessee, died on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Ringgold to the late Gus and Sallie Jay. Jack had been a resident of Kingsport since 1967. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for Mason-Dixon and ABF Trucking. He was a member of the Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge in Gray, a member of the Jericho Shrine Temple, the Kingsport Shrine Club. He attended the Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Doc Jay.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geneva Humphrey Jay, son, Greg (Karen) Jay, grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, and Jackson Jay, daughter, Jackie, sister, Mildred Cofer, brother, Jimmy Jay, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at Anderson Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
