Mozzella Dandy, 57, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her residence.
She was a graduate of Riverside High School and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. She was employed by Farley’s & Sathers Company.
She was a faithful member of Second Missionary Baptist Church where she was on the Senior Usher Board, Culinary Committee and Evangelism School Alumni. She was also on the U.S.B.C. Bowling League.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Opton Sanders; father, Jimmy Lee Dandy; stepfather, Eldridge Daniel; brother, John Dandy; and aunt, Dorothy Taylor.
Survivors include her lifelong partner, James “Pete” Stone; mother, Marline Daniel, both of Chattanooga; brothers, Odus (Christine) Dandy of Cleveland, Oh., and Melvin (Barbara) Dandy of Chattanooga; sisters, Wanda Johnson, Aileen Rutherford, Acquanetta (Alex) Smith, Brenda (Travis) Daniel-Bell, all of Chattanooga, and Orlean Caldwell of Pensacola, Fla.; god-sisters, Evelyn (Anthony) Suttles of Chattanooga and Nita (Michael) Pickett of Jasper; uncle, McKinley (Eunice) Sanders; devoted nephews, Mandell (Wendy) Johnson and Charles McClendon; niece, Shawanna (Larry) Mason; several cousins; other relatives; devoted friends, Richard Jenkins of S. Pittsburg, Kevin Glenn, Cindy Bearden, Pearl Robinson, Pauline Thurman and many other friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 29, from 7-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 30, at noon at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Paul A. McDaniel as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
