Lenore “Snorkie” Brady died on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lenore was 75 years young and had fought a brave battle with Alzheimers for the last three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Harry Brady; brother, Harry Brady, Jr. and niece, Donna Jenkins.
Lenore attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School and Church. She retired from Olan Mills as a manager after 36 dedicated years. Never one to stop looking for the next challenge, after retirement she had a cleaning service, opened a restaurant, worked at Moccasin Bend Golf Club and became a caregiver.
The legacy she leaves behind is one of love of family and friends. Her passions were cooking and sharing her love of life, gardening, tennis, and bowling. She won many tournaments including State All Events in 1965. She loved walks on the beach and eating on the water.
Her fun-loving spirit will always be treasured. Family members who will continue to celebrate her life include her partner of 25 years, Steffi Ballentine; sisters, Betty Crowder and Alice (Ed) Austin; brothers, Ted (Cheryl) Brady and Dick (Sheila) Brady; an aunt; several nieces and nephews. Her heart held a special place for her niece, Patti Crowder and nephew, Travis Brady who shared many Thanksgiving football memories.
She loved animals and took great care of her Scottie “Skye” and cat “Jack”.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Jim Vick officiating.
